Family Wine Time
Sometimes you just need a bit of quiet time midweek just to reset the clock. Time to review, time to take a break, review, analyse, and refresh. Select any one of these easy drinking wines, then sit down and breathe!!
What's the Craic? There's lots to catch up on and discussions to be had that you wouldn't ever write down, so it has to be face to face. No need to get carried away, but a glass of wine just gives the occasion a little more gravitas. These catch up wines are exactly what you need to makes the conversation flow that little bit easier.
The summer is a short season so we have to make the best of it. Whether it's a BBQ or just sitting in the garden after work or on the weekend, a glass of chilled rose or a fruity red to go with that burger is obligatory.
With your best friends there is no need to stand on ceremony. They know what you are like, so let's just make a 'phone call' (or add to you WhatsApp Group) get together for some easy to prepare food, great wine and let the laughter begin. These informal wines just shout fun and games, great wines to share with your best pals.
We have made it, here comes the weekend. Time to sit down and congratulate each other that all the potential disasters have been avoided and we can look forward to a bit of R&R. These wines are a great pat on the back for a job well done; enjoy them and set yourself up for a great weekend.
Every now and then, a night on your own is no bad thing. A chance to spoil yourself with the meal that only you like, first and second glass while cooking, third while eating at which point you put the cork back in the bottle... You'll be in bed first, moral high-ground maintained.
You have an empty, no one else at home or you've just made sure "it's date night". Table set including the obligatory candles (??? I know!), cutlery in the correct place (I never get that right) nice shiny glasses. Nothing has been rushed enjoy the quiet while you both cook, without fighting. What are you going to talk about or do after dinner?
It just has to be sparkling wine to mark an achievement, not necessarily Champagne (don't tell the French!). Here are three sparkling wines each a little bit different but each will add a little fizz to your celebration.
The big one, we all have to do it, it costs a fortune, it takes all day (ha ha week!) to get ready, but it can be great fun and every now and again it's good to go that extra mile and make it special. Anyway, there's absolutely nothing wrong with demonstrating your expert cooking skills, or at the very least, being a generous host.
Nowadays it's not unusual for the family to be spread across the country or even the globe. So whenever you are together it is special time. A time to sit round a table, share memories and hear plans for the future. These wines are made to savour, just like time with the family.
It's always nice to know that you're appreciated and a bottle of wine is just the way to reinforce that, especially with a dash of humour. These specially chosen wines will be appreciated because of their great taste and we can almost guarantee that they won't gather dust at the back of a cupboard or be given to someone else.
No matter how big or small the achievement, it should be celebrated and nothing helps mark such occasions better than a glass of something special. Whether it be a graduation, promotion or simply accomplishing an important goal, let us help you congratulate with an ideal gift.
Essentially, it all boils down to what would make your parents love you (even) more, guarantee that you're Number One Child (unless, of course, you're an only child!) and have them waxing lyrical about their fab gift. Would a bottle of their favourite wine help or introduce them to what could become a new favourite? A wine to be shared, help everyone relax at a family occasion, making, what can very often be a stressful situation, pass harmoniously?
